How to make milky doughnut

Here are some simple recipe on how to make milky donuts at home:

Ingredients:

- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

- 1 cup warm milk

- ¼ cup sugar

- 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)

- ¼ tsp salt

- 1 egg

- ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened

- Vegetable oil (for frying)

Glaze (optional):

- 1 cup powdered sugar

- 2 tbsp milk

- ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

1. Activate the Yeast:

In a small bowl, mix the warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.

2. Mix the Dough:

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture, egg, and softened butter. Mix until the dough starts to come together.

3. Knead the Dough:

Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until it’s smooth and elastic.

4. Let the Dough Rise:

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-2 hours or until it doubles in size.

5. Shape the Donuts:

Once the dough has risen, roll it out on a floured surface to about ½-inch thickness. Use a donut cutter or two round cutters (one large, one small) to shape the donuts.

6. Second Rise:

Place the cut-out donuts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cover them and let them rise again for about 30-40 minutes.

7. Fry the Donuts:

Heat the vegetable oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C). Carefully fry the donuts in batches, cooking each side for about 1-2 minutes until golden brown. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.

8. Glaze the Donuts(Optional):

In a bowl, mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to make the glaze. Dip the warm donuts into the glaze and place them on a rack to set.

9. Serve:

Enjoy your milky donuts warm or at room temperature!

These donuts are soft and fluffy with some milkiness, perfect for a sweet treat.
