Make vanilla ice cream 🍨 at home


 Here’s a simple recipe for a basic vanilla ice cream:



 Ingredients:

- 2 cups heavy cream

- 1 cup whole milk

- 3/4 cup granulated sugar

- 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract

- A pinch of salt


Instructions:


1. Mix Ingredients: 

   - In a large bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, and salt until the sugar is fully dissolved.

   - Stir in the vanilla extract.


2. Chill the Mixture:

   - Cover the bowl and refrigerate the mixture for at least 2 hours, or overnight. This will ensure that the mixture is cold enough for churning.


3. Churn the Ice Cream:

   - Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions. This usually takes about 20-25 minutes.


4. Freeze:

   - Once the ice cream has reached a soft-serve consistency, transfer it to an airtight container.

   - Place the container in the freezer for at least 4 hours, or until the ice cream is firm.


5. Serve:

   - Scoop and enjoy your homemade vanilla ice cream!



Tips:

- No Ice Cream Maker?: You can still make ice cream by pouring the mixture into a shallow dish, freezing it, and stirring every 30 minutes for about 2-3 hours until it’s smooth.

- Add-ins: You can customize your ice cream by adding chocolate chips, fruit, or other mix-ins during the last few minutes of churning.
